国宝 犬山城 （愛知県・犬山市） Inuyama Castle, National Treasure

　犬山城は木曽川のほとり、小高い山の上に建てられた美しい城だ。川に面した部分は急な斜面となっている。この城は、織田信長の叔父である織田信康により天文6年（1537年）に築城されたものである。

　いつか行ってみたいと思っていた場所だ。


Inuyama Castle is built on the small mountain by the Kiso River. And it is very beautiful. Oda Nobuyasu built this castle in A.D.1537. Oda Nobuyasu was the younger uncle of Oda Nobunaga.

Oda Nobunaga was a powerful samurai warlord of Japan in the late 16th century who initiated the unification of Japan near the end of the Warring States period.(From Wikipedia)

　

　犬山城は名古屋駅から名鉄犬山線に乗り、犬山駅で降りて１５分ほど歩いたところにある。電車の所要時間は30分弱だから、名古屋駅から1時間ほどみておけば犬山城までたどり着くことができる。

You can come to the Inuyama Castle in about an hour from Nagoya Station. Get on the Meitetsu Inuyama Line train, and get off the train at the Inuyama Station. Then walk about 15 minutes.

　

　石垣の積み方は粗雑で、建物は武骨である。古い時代の築城であることを思わされる構造だ。

　3階以上の部分、現代人の目からすると、城らしく見える部分は江戸時代に入ってから増築されたものだという説がある。

The stone wall is crude, and the building is clumsy because they are built old age.

Probably, Upper third floor of the building was extended since the beginning of the Edo period.

　天守最上階からの眺めは絶景と言ってよいであろう。

　もし名古屋で3～4時間ほど時間があったなら、是非立ち寄ってみるべき場所である。

If you have about four hours in Nagoya Station, You should come to the Inuyama Castle. It is a place that is worth to detour.
